"THE PLUMBER" SONG FEATURED IN THE WHOLESALER MAGAZINE
"Treat your plumbing professional with respect." For years, this is how Ann has introduced the song "The Plumber Is The Man," from her "Canned Goods" album. Her message, expressed so well in Garrison Keillor's lyrics, has now been picked up and magnified in the May 2000 issue of The Wholesaler. Not usually a place for promoting folk music, the magazine is a monthly trade publication of the plumbing, heating and air conditioning wholesale and distribution industry. Rich Schmitt's monthly column on management tells wholesale managers that respect for the plumber is essential to success in the wholesale business, and he recommends Ann's rendition of "The Plumber" to his readers. Pick up a copy at your nearest plumbing wholesale company or read the column on-line at annzimmerman.com (or just take our word for it!).

Ann's web site just got a new, easy-to-remember address-if you can remember her name you can log your computer onto her site. There you will find performance schedule, photos, recordings, biographical information and other stuff. The internet is an amazing source of information-don't miss Ann's part of it.
AZ GAZETTE NOW AVAILABLE VIA EMAIL
This is the first issue of the AZ gAZette to be sent by e-mail to those who have requested electronic transmission. The gAZette is still being received by hundreds of people through the U.S. Mail. Just let us know if you prefer to change your mode of delivery.
    CONCERT IDEAS?
Want Ann to sing for your town, coffeshop, concert hall, school or organization or to lead a songwriting workshop? Contact her by mail, phone, e-mail or web site. See opposite column.
YEAR 2000 BRINGS RECORD NUMBER OF CONCERTS
Since January, Ann has performed more than forty-five concerts, a new record for her singing career. A reduced schedule of legal work has given her the open daytime hours she needs to do many more school concerts, and her concerts for families and adults have increased as well. But there is always room for more-contact her with all your concert or workshop ideas. This winter and spring, her travels have taken her to elementary schools for Kansas's birthday, Earth Day and "You Do Make a Difference" Day; to Methodist, Presbyterian and Unitarian Universalist congregations; to Lion's Club dinners; to lively conferences for recyclers, composters and 4-H volunteers; to annual meetings of credit unions and farmers coops; to noon lunchers for Art a la Carte; to celebrations for 6-month-olds, 9-year-olds, 30-year-olds and senior citizens; to concerts at radio studios, bookstores, coffeeshops, nature centers and community centers. Where will she appear next?? Check the calendar!

    MAILING LIST STREAMLINED
The last AZ gAZette requested readers to contact AZ Music if they wanted to continue receiving this newsletter either by mail or internet. We were happy to receive hundreds of cards and emails. Some of the responses were a bit cryptic, however, saying "Please keep me on the mailing list," but neglecting to include their name or address. If you know anyone who wanted to continue receiving Ann's new but has not received this issue, please have them contact AZ Music.
E-MAIL RECIPIENTS: Please let us know if your street address changes. Sometimes we target mailings just to the area where Ann will be playing-but if we don't know where you are, we can't let you know.
